Monkeys in the backyard

During our time in Uganda we stayed with John Baptist and Josephine, a lovely couple which took us in as a workaway experience.

Their house is on a very green part of Entebbe and while staying there we had a wonderful surprise.
You see, John and Josephine have avocado trees and the local monkeys love to nibble on them!
Well what do you know, one morning we were having breakfast and a group of monkeys jumped in front of the house and started jumping on the trees, eating avocados and throwing the pits to the ground.
A was beside herself with excitement!
An entire family of monkeys just outside the door just having a snack in front of the house like it was nothing. Monkeys!
Well, as it turns out, due to urban encroachment onto their habitat, many monkeys roam around the outskirts of Entebbe grabbing whatever food they can and going about their business. To the locals it is normal but to us it was surreal.
I mean, when was the last time you were sitting in your backyard doing your laundry as monkeys played around you?
